Yes...The Wire....still

I have never been addicted to a television show. Not in the darkest days of my "late nineties/early oughts" 'West Wing' compulsion, did I ever jones for the next episode. In fact, I don't own my own television. Since I left for school in 2003, I have not had a television. This was done, mainly, so that I could focus on my studies. A noble thought, I know. It just made me come up with new and creative diversions, rather than just sitting in front of a tv for hours.

Ok, so I am now into the middle of season 3 of 'The Wire'. Do I have other topics that I could, should and probably would write about? Most definitely. But, until I get through the next 7 episodes, the well will be, (if not dry), allowed to stagnate for a while. When I get back though, I will clear off the top layer of pond scum and dive right back into it.

In the meantime, if you haven't seen this incredibly well-written and acted program, (thanks to Dylan for the long and patient "heads up" on this show), get going on it. You won't regret it. As Captain Happy says, "If it's not HBO, then it's just regular ass TV."
